Two Plus by bellefleur Email: bellefleur1013@yahoo.com Rating: R for implied adult situations Spoilers: Post-ep for "Plus One" Disclaimer: These characters are mine now. Chris Carter has created his own AU versions, and he and FOX can keep them. My Mulder and Scully never broke up and never will. Summary: How two FBI agents killed a couple of hours before checkout. Notes: This is my subtle way of explaining certain details in the episode. ***** ***** "Satisfied?" Mulder was lying back on the lumpy hide-a-bed mattress, blinking at the ceiling through sleepy eyes. He imitated taking a drag from a cigarette and smiled his smug grin. "Oh, yeah. Fair is fair. You owed me one." Scully propped herself up on an elbow as she reclined next to him. "I didn't know we were keeping score." "I'm a man, Scully. We're always keeping score. Besides, last time, you fell asleep before we could get to the interesting part. That means you owe me double." "In your dreams." She rested her head on his chest and started playing with his chest hair. This time, his clothes had made it off, but she was still wearing everything but her shoes. "When you're done taking score, do you think we could work on something a little more mutual?" "Give me a minute. I'm not as young as I used to be." She took a peek under the covers and realized he wasn't kidding. "Wake me up when you're ready." He nudged her, and her eyes popped back open. "Hey, Scully, does this mean we're done with the ridiculous 'rules'?" She closed her eyes again and snuggled in closer. "Rules were made to be broken. You taught me that, Mulder." "Oh, I see. You set up these rules about 'no consorting between partners while on assignment' just so we could have fun breaking them. Any more rules I should know about? Perhaps, one involving you and leather?" "Nope. Just the one about the handcuffs." "I left mine in the car. Next road trip, then." She sighed and rolled onto her back, looking over at him. "Mulder, in all seriousness, we really should keep up appearances. At least when we're traveling. No more single motel rooms." "It's a suite, Scully. Two rooms. That woman didn't even bat an eyelash. In fact, the only one batting any eyelashes was-" "Don't even say it, Mulder. I do NOT bat my eyelashes." "Don't think I don't know that look, Scully, after all these years. The one where you-" She climbed on top of him and shut him up with her lips. "Time's up, Mulder." ***** ***** Notes: This really isn't a new scenario. How many times has this scene been written in fanfic? But this is the first time that the show actually went there-almost 20 years too late.
