April 1, 2005 - by Pippy15 From Tribeca What can i say I knew going into this movie that it was going to be very good. The reason being, I was lucky enough to read some of the script before hand. That said, it surpassed all my expectations. Where this movie could have gone over the line into sappy it did not. Anton Yelchin as the young Tommy was amazing to watch. I laughed and cried right along with him. Robin played Pappas in a very endearing way and you could not help but love the character. Zelda Williams made an impression on me as the young Tommy's girl friend. Tea Leoni gave a heartfelt performance as the very depressed mother of Tommy. This movie was entertaining from the moment it started until the credits came up. I walked out of the theatre with a smile on my face. David Duchovny did himself proud with this movie. Anton Yelchin is going to be a big star one day. I can't wait until it comes out in the fall because I plan on being the first in line. I'll give another Review when i see it again at the Phila Film festival. |
