Pumpkins and Whipped Cream

A short MSR snippet

It was that time of year again, and Mulder was excited that 
Scully was back in his life again. It had been over a year 
since they split up, but now they've patched things up and 
he was just glad that he won't be alone. He was getting the 
house ready for her to move back in, cleaning things up and 
tidying it up. Along with setting it up for any Trick or 
Treaters who do show up on Halloween. But... he was saving 
the best for last. He wanted to pick pumpkins out with her 
and possibly... do more than that.

He already talked to her on the phone and she sounded like 
she was game. So he didn't have all that much to worry 
about. He picked out his costumes, one for the kiddies 
(Batman) and one for her... to enjoy (a Chippendale's 
number). 

Might as well take advantage of all of the hard work he's 
done as of late, both in terms of labor around the property 
and in working out. That's one thing that her being away 
has done. He's been very frustrated and it's equaled at 
least one net gain.  He's gone from the figurative 98 pound 
weakling he was when he was in the FBI at times to the 
Hulk. And he likes it. Sure he was in shape with her 
around. But since then, he's beefed up.

'Might as well keep things up for what it's worth', he 
thought at the time, 'Never know when I might be the only 
one around to keep things up.' And now here he is, moved 
well past any depression he felt and not letting anything 
get in the way of getting his life back in order.

He hears a car drive up and sees that it is Scully. He 
waves at her and flashes a broad grin. She does the same 
back at him as she pulls up to his/their house. She can't 
believe that she's moving back in. No demons were going to 
keep her away from 'her' man, Her Mulder.  She looks up at 
the house and sees that he's well on the way to having it 
be completely decorated for Halloween, minus a few things.

He waves her over and they kiss. It's been a while since 
she's seen him and she gives him an approving whistle and a 
playful slap on his butt. 'Scully...', he said mirthfully 
while waggling his eyebrows, 'I see that you are in the 
holiday spirit...' 'I guess I am, Mulder.', she said with a 
playful grin playing around her mouth. 'I've missed you so 
much. That apartment is so cold and lonely. Sure it'll 
still be there, but I want you to be in my life that much 
more. You mean more to me than work. You're a big part of 
my life and I love you.'

He smiled and told her to come in the house, that he had a 
surprise for her. He told her to cover her eyes. She does 
so and walks in and he walks her over to the kitchen table. 
When she gets there, he tells her to open her eyes. She 
does and she sees a large pumpkin, partially carved. He 
tells her to open it, and when she does... her eyes open wide 
in wonder.

'Oh Mulder, you shouldn't have...' Her eyes had seen the 
sparkle of a diamond ring. 'Well we always loved the 
holidays', he said to her with a grin, 'but why not do 
something with a bit of twist, something a little bit 
different?'

'Dana Scully', he said to her, as he got down on his knee, 
'will you marry me?' Scully shook her head and said yes and 
hugged him. He felt like the luckiest man alive. To have 
another chance at love with the one woman who was his one-
in-five-billion. His own Truth.

But now for the matter at hand. One last little surprise 
before the kiddos show up. He was wearing his surprise 
costume for her, right under his own clothes. 

'Oh I have one last surprise for you, Scully...', he said to 
her, in her ear. 'What is it?', she asked him. 'It isn't an 
it...', he said, as he backed off and started to dance 
seductively and started to strip. 

She stared and grinned. 'Oh you, didn't have to do this...', 
she said to him. 'Yes I did, you are my woman, as I am your 
man... and I'm yours to command.', he said with a wicked grin 
on his face. 

He took off his shirt and she got out some twenties from 
her purse. 'You look terrific... just right enough to eat...', 
she purred. Mulder came over to her and picked her up and 
said, 'Well there's still enough time for some play...' 'Me 
Tarzan Mulder, you Jane Scully...' 

She laughed and they went into their bedroom.
