They Bee-Long Together by Agent_410 Email: box9missingno@hotmail.com Scully stood out in the rain, waiting for Mulder to show up. She was wearing her best dress, a racy black number. She looked down at her watch again to see what time it was. Mulder finally showed up, and he was wearing his best suit. He gave her a thoughtful whistle and grin and she rolled her eyes at him, smiled and laughed. She was looking forward to getting to the nightclub to dance. It had been far too long since they'd been out together. He took her to his car and they went off. He turned the radio on and started to sing, and smiled at her. He couldn't believe just what a lucky man he was. To be with such a beautiful lady. They continued to drive on as the rain continued to fall. He finally stopped the car, parked and got out. Scully asked him if it was the right place. He nodded and said yes and they went into the building. They handed their coats to the bouncer and went out onto the dance floor and started to dance. But as they were dancing, a mysterious man asked if he could cut in. He had a head of white hair and a voice that sounded just like a bee's buzz. Mulder looked at him in astonishment and so did Scully. They wondered just where he had come from. He looked so familiar somehow, but yet they couldn't quite place him. He asked again, "Mind if I cut in?". This time Mulder stepped back and the stranger started to dance with Scully. She started to feel very uncomfortable and the word 'platonic and petulant' entered her head. She wondered why, but the way the man composed himself answered that question. He seemed unsure of himself. The music ended and Scully went to a nearby table with Mulder after they had excused themselves from the mystery man. Mulder asked her who that was, and she was unable to give an answer. All she said to him was that he reminded her of someone that they'd seen before who stopped them from falling in love. She grinned at him and then said that she was glad that what had stopped them before didn't prevent them from doing so and that she never regretted being with him.
